From Errachidia the road runs south through Tinjdad to Tinghir.
At the Todra Gorge you walk the cool riverbed path where 300-metre walls close to barely ten metres apart and climbers hang off the rock above you. We carry on into the Dades Valley for the famous hairpin road and the wind-carved monkey-finger rocks, with a stop for mint tea at a kasbah cafe looking down the bends. There is time, too, to step inside a Berber village home along the way.

Pickup at 8:30 AM from your Errachidia hotel or the airport. We drive west across the pre-Saharan plain via the palm-oasis town of Tinjdad to Tinghir, the gateway to the gorge, with a look at its old town and palm grove. Then into the Todra Gorge, where 300-metre red walls rise sheer on both sides of the river and close to barely ten metres apart — you walk the floor with your guide while the climbers hang off the rock above. There is an optional hour up the eastern wall for the view down.
Lunch is your own choice, and we will recommend, at a hotel terrace inside the gorge facing the rock.
West to the Dades Valley, a winding road past red-rock kasbahs and palm villages. We stop at the famous Dades hairpins viewpoint for the photo, and at the monkey-finger rocks, the strange eroded fingers of stone, then for mint tea with a Berber household in a kasbah village.
We drive back east to Errachidia, dropping you at your hotel or the airport by about 7:30 PM.
