You start near the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the film studios, climb the Dades and walk the Todra Gorge, then ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes at Merzouga for a camp run by people we know. Later you cross the Draa to M’Hamid and 4×4 deep into Erg Chigaga, the tallest and remotest dunes in the country, where the silence at night is total. Private 4×4, English-speaking Berber driver, desert camps under the stars.

We pick you up at 8:30 AM and head east on the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura and Kasbah Amerdhil, then Kelaa M’Gouna and the Valley of Roses, and up the Dades Valley to the gorge’s famous switchbacks and monkey-finger walls, sunset in the gorge.

A morning walk through the Todra Gorge, then east via Tinghir, Erfoud and Rissani, and a late-afternoon sunset camel trek into Erg Chebbi to a desert camp — tagine, drumming, stargazing.

The sunrise over the dunes, then a full 4×4 circuit: the Gnawa village of Khamlia (live music), the Mifis kohl mines, nomad households, fossil beds, and seasonal flamingos at Dayet Srji. Sandboarding and a dune run if you like, and a second night by Erg Chebbi.

A long, scenic transfer west across volcanic plains and oases via Alnif and Tazzarine to Nkob, the village of forty-odd kasbahs, then down into the Draa Valley to Zagora — an evening at a kasbah hotel with a pool to rest before the deep-desert leg.

South to M’Hamid el Ghizlane, the last village before the open Sahara, then off the tarmac entirely — a long 4×4 piste across regs, dry oued beds and the Lake Iriqui basin to the towering, utterly remote Erg Chigaga dunes, up to 300 m high and 40 km long. A camel trek into the sand and a wild camp deep among the dunes, far from any road or light.

The sunrise over Chigaga, then a spectacular desert piste to Foum Zguid, back onto tarmac and north up the Draa, with stops at the Tamnougalt Kasbah and palm-grove viewpoints, to a kasbah hotel near Agdz.

A last morning over the Tizi n’Tinififft pass back toward Ouarzazate, finishing at the UNESCO Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou — the climb to the granary for the panorama — and drop-off at your Ouarzazate hotel in the early afternoon (onward drop in Marrakech can be arranged).
