Our private 7 Day Grand Morocco Tour From Marrakech offers an immersive Moroccan experience. A week to see the whole south and finish on the Atlantic. Our 7 day Grand Morocco tour from Marrakech is a private, one-way journey from Marrakech to Casablanca — the High Atlas, Ait Ben Haddou, the gorges, two Sahara nights, and the great Hassan II Mosque on the coast to finish.
You cross the Tizi n’Tichka to the kasbahs of Ouarzazate, sleep in the Dades, walk the Todra Gorge, and give the Merzouga dunes two nights of camel treks and a camp run by people we know. The road north takes in Rissani, the Ziz Valley, and the imperial cities before Casablanca, where the sea comes right up to the prayer hall of the Hassan II Mosque. Private 4×4, English-speaking Berber driver, hand-picked riads.
Prefer to end in Fes? Our 5-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour crosses the desert the other way.

Pickup at 7:30 AM from your Marrakech hotel or riad. We climb south over the High Atlas on the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), through Berber villages and switchbacks, with a stop at a viewpoint across the range. Down to the fortified Ait Ben Haddou — the UNESCO kasbah of Gladiator, Game of Thrones and Lawrence of Arabia — which you walk with your guide. After lunch near Ouarzazate we take the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs east through the Rose Valley and the Skoura oasis into the Dades Valley.
Accommodation: hotel or riad in the Dades Valley (dinner and breakfast).
The Dades hairpins, then the Todra Gorge, where 300-metre walls close around the river. East through Erfoud, the fossil town, to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. A 1.5-hour sunset camel trek takes you into the sand as the sky turns amber and violet, to a desert camp with en-suite tents and a fire — dinner, Berber drums, and a Sahara sky full of stars.
Accommodation: desert camp at Erg Chebbi (dinner and breakfast).
Up before dawn for the sunrise, then camels back for breakfast (sandboarding if you like). The souk at Rissani, then north through the Ziz Valley — Morocco’s grand canyon — and its overlook above a million date palms, through Errachidia to the apple town of Midelt.
Accommodation: hotel in Midelt (dinner and breakfast).
North through the Middle Atlas to the Azrou cedar forest and its Barbary macaques, then Ifrane, the Alpine-looking Little Switzerland — a surreal green day after the dunes — into Fes in the early afternoon, with time to start wandering.
Accommodation: hotel or riad in Fes (dinner and breakfast).
A whole day in Fes el-Bali with a licensed local guide, through the medina’s nine thousand lanes: the Chouara tanneries dyeing leather in stone vats the old way, the Bou Inania madrasa with its carved cedar and zellige, and the Al-Qarawiyyin, the world’s oldest university (859 AD). We wind through the coppersmiths, the spice market, and the weavers, with a rooftop lunch over the green roofs, then the Royal Palace gates and the Mellah.
Accommodation: hotel or riad in Fes (dinner and breakfast).
We drive to the Roman ruins of Volubilis — Morocco’s best-kept Roman city, with standing columns and floor mosaics still bright after eighteen centuries — then imperial Meknes, the Versailles of Morocco, for the great Bab Mansour gate, the vast granaries, and the mausoleum of the sultan Moulay Ismail. In the afternoon we reach Rabat: the Hassan Tower, the marble mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the blue-and-white Kasbah of the Udayas above the Atlantic.
Accommodation: hotel in Rabat (dinner and breakfast).
Down the coast to Casablanca for a guided visit of the Hassan II Mosque, the largest in Africa, built out over the Atlantic — a 210-metre minaret, a retractable roof, and a glass floor that shows the sea beneath your feet (one of the few mosques here open to non-Muslim visitors). Then the Corniche, the 1930s Art Deco downtown, and, if you like, Rick’s Cafe from the film. We finish with drop-off at your Casablanca hotel, Mohammed V airport, or the Casa Voyageurs train station.

Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are generally the best months to visit Morocco, offering warm days and comfortable travel conditions. However, our tours run year-round and can be customized to suit any season.
All our excursions and multi-day tours are 100% private. You will have a modern, air-conditioned vehicle (4×4 or minivan) and a dedicated professional driver/guide solely for your group. This ensures maximum flexibility, privacy, and a customized experience.
There is ample space in our private vehicles for luggage. We recommend one main suitcase or duffel bag and one small daypack per person. If your tour includes a Sahara camel trek, you will leave your main luggage secure in the support vehicle or hotel and carry only a small bag to the desert camp.
Bottled water is included in the vehicle. Breakfasts and dinners are fully included at your hotels and desert camps (except in major cities like Marrakech or Fes where dinners are left open so you can explore the local dining scene). Lunches and extra drinks are not included.
We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and light, respectful clothing. Bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a light jacket for cooler mountain or coastal evening breezes, and a camera to capture the scenic viewpoints.
