Pickup at 9:00 AM from your Errachidia hotel or airport. South through the Ziz Gorge and Ziz Oasis, with the valley overlook, a fossil workshop in Erfoud, and the souk at Rissani. You reach Merzouga for a sunset camel trek over the Erg Chebbi dunes to a Berber camp run by people we know — tagine, drums, stars.

The sunrise, breakfast, then a full 4×4 day of Erg Chebbi — the Gnawa village of Khamlia, nomad households on the hammada, fossil beds, and (in spring) flamingos at Dayet Srji lake. A second desert night in a Merzouga riad with a pool.

West to the Todra Gorge, where 300-metre walls close to a few metres apart and you walk the cool floor, then the Dades Valley for its hairpins and the monkey-finger rocks at sunset.

The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs via the Valley of Roses and the Skoura oasis (and the old Kasbah Amerdhil) to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa, then the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou for a guided walk and the granary climb.

Over the High Atlas at the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), with an argan stop on the way down, into Marrakech in the late afternoon — the evening is yours to walk into Jemaa el-Fna for the show.
